Camille D., Founder of Rouge Atelier
“To me, skincare is not just about results. It’s a ritual of slowing down, sensing, and coming back to yourself.”
— Camille, Founder of Rouge Atelier
How Camille Turned Her Beauty Channel into a Full-Fledged Brand with Genstore
Camille is the founder of Rouge Atelier, a skincare and beauty label rooted in soft textures, botanical blends, and quiet luxury. Based in Santa Barbara, California, Camille began her career working in independent fragrance studios and artisanal skincare labs, where she honed her skills in formulation and sensory design.
Over the years, she also cultivated a dedicated following on TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest. Her calm tutorials, centered on natural beauty and mood-based routines, resonated with a wide audience, especially women in their late 20s to early 40s seeking a slower, more considered approach to self-care.
Despite affiliate links and brand partnerships, something felt off.
I loved sharing products I believed in, but I was always sending people somewhere else. I wanted that connection to start and stay with me.
That’s when Camille decided it was time to create her own space online.

Turning a Skincare Philosophy into an Online Storefront
Camille had no team, no technical background, and no time to manage complex website builds. But what challenged her most was this:
Most e-commerce platforms weren’t built for mood-driven shopping.
Her products weren’t just about results. They were about scent, feel, and moments—formulated to accompany rituals, not routines. But standard templates pushed her into dropdowns and filters: skin type, product category, price.
My customers don’t search for ‘moisturizer under $30.’ They want to feel something—like calm, or focus, or softness.
Genstore gave her a different starting point. With help from the built-in Design Agent, she created collections like Evening Repair and The Scented Edit—not by function, but by mood and experience. It felt natural. And more importantly, it felt like her.
The second issue? She couldn’t be everywhere at once.
Camille still spent most of her days in the studio—testing textures, blending oils, refining formulas. She wasn’t available to answer every product question that came in through DMs or chat popups. With Genstore’s Inbox AI, she set up intelligent auto-replies for common inquiries, like ingredient concerns or how to layer products. It gave her back hours of time, without compromising the warmth her brand was known for.
People still get thoughtful answers. But I don’t have to write them 20 times a day.

From Soft Launch to Sustainable Growth
Rouge Atelier’s site launched in two days. Camille shared it across her social media, linked it in her tutorial captions, and synced products with her Instagram shop. Her audience responded right away. Her signature skincare oils and scent-tinted balms began gaining traction, especially through Pinterest saves and Instagram reels. More importantly, the brand now felt whole. From content to checkout, everything reflected the same quiet energy.
Before, I was just borrowing space on someone else’s shelf. Now, I’m building my own.
With Genstore managing the backend, Camille is now focused on her next product drop and a holiday collaboration set. Her goal is to reach consistent monthly revenue above $30,000 and begin expanding into select international markets.
She’s not rushing the process. But for the first time, the path ahead feels entirely hers.
